Basic Installation instructions
The silver part is the bottom of the foot and the black is the top.
DO NOT REMOVE the black paper as this will affect performance. You may find some overlap of the black paper to the foot.
This is to ensure complete contact of the paper to the underside of the component.
• The feet will self-level under load.
• Do not disassemble.
• Avoid screw heads.
• Be careful with wiring as the component will shift more easily.
• Be patient – allow 7-10 days to break in. It will be worth the wait!
What do I do if one of the 4 Center Stage feet fails to couple to the underside of the component above?
What if my stock foot measures more than one inch tall?
The TALL size Center Stage foot must be used if your stock foot exceeds one inch in height. In order to discuss the appropriate shim size to supply with your order please email to firstname.lastname@example.org or call 1-833 CNTRSTG (1-833-268-7784)
About Centre Stage
Why is Center Stage different and better than other footers?
Music should be an experience, not a song. Center Stage changes the listening experience. A normal listening session can be summarized by the term, “separation”. The listener sits in a chair separated from the musicians. We can hear the music, but we are not a part of the music; we are observers of the musical event. There is a “wall” at the front plane of the loudspeakers that music, images and events do not cross.
Center Stage removes the “wall” so that the listener hears a musical event, sees the musical event, and then feels the musical event as the room ambience comes forward from the event and touches and/or surrounds the listener. We call this the “Total Immersion Effect” (TIE).
Does the Total Immersion Effect occur on every song?
The Total Immersion Effect is not a trick or a gimmick. The Total Immersion Effect is a result of engineering. Components already possess the engineering to produce the effect and all playback formats already have very low-level ambience engineered into the recording. Using material science and principles of constrained layer damping sourced from our racks and amplifier stands, Critical Mass Systems developed an innovative approach to vibration reduction that reveals something that has always been there.
The Total Immersion Effect is experienced to the extent a musical recording has low level room ambience imbedded in it and to the limit of the component’s engineering. Other factors include but are not limited to speaker set up, electrical system quality and room acoustics. We want to stress that (TIE) is a result of engineering found in the component and in the recording. Center Stage reveals the engineering by reducing system entropy.
How is the Total Immersion Effect achieved?
Through a process of lowering the noise floor in your components by reducing system entropy by way of cross-border heat transfer.
Does Center Stage work with every component?
If a manufacturer produced a component where the chassis was intentionally overdamped, Center Stage might not be effective. At the current time, we do not know of any component that falls into this category.
Is the black paper cover on top of Center Stage important?
The black paper cover is important and it should never be removed. It is intentionally slightly larger than the foot to cover the top surface. This deliberately prevents the foot from coming in direct contact with the component. If the black finish becomes scuffed, it can be treated with a black magic marker.
